1. Who we are
Vero Jobs is a job board operated by Vero Jobs, registered at F-179, Haware Fantasia Business Park, Vashi, Navi Mumbai 400703, India. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Vero Jobs. “You” refers to anyone who uses the site, whether as a job seeker, an employer, or a visitor.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to verojobs.in and any services we provide through it.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, and password when you register. If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider.
- Candidate profile — anything you choose to add: phone number, date of birth, gender, nationality, address, professional summary, work history, education, skills, certifications, projects, portfolio and social links, and a profile photo.
- Your resume — the file you upload, and its contents.
- Applications — the jobs you apply to, and any cover letter you write.
- Employer details — if you post jobs: your company name, contact details, and the content of your listings.
- Correspondence — messages you send us through the contact or reporting forms.
Information we collect automatically
- Log data — your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and the time of your visit.
- Cookies — see section 9.
3. Why we use your data
- To create and run your account, and to authenticate you when you sign in.
- To show your application — including your profile and resume — to the employer whose job you applied to.
- To let employers manage the applications they receive.
- To send you service messages: application confirmations, status updates, and password resets.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraudulent listings, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not show advertising based on your profile.
4. Your consent, and the law we operate under
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account and when you submit an application. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time — see section 8.
Where we are required to keep data to meet a legal obligation, or to establish or defend a legal claim, we may retain it even after you withdraw consent, for as long as the law requires.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the service, and you have the rights described in the GDPR.
5. Who we share it with
- Employers. When you apply for a job, the employer who posted it receives your name, email address, phone number (if provided), cover letter, and resume. This is the entire purpose of applying, and it cannot be undone once an application is submitted.
- Service providers. Companies that host our site, send our email, or process payments, acting on our instructions and bound to protect your data.
- Legal. If required by law, a court order, or a lawful government request, or where necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
We do not otherwise disclose your profile or resume to third parties.
6. Who can see your profile
Your candidate profile and resume are not published publicly. They are shared with an employer when — and only when — you apply for one of their jobs.
Your uploaded resume is stored as a private file. Note, however, that anyone who has the direct file link (for example, an employer you have applied to, who then shares that link) may be able to open it. Do not include information in your resume that you would not want an employer to see.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and profile data — until you delete your account.
- Applications — retained by the employer you applied to, and by us, for 180 Days after submission.
- Log data — 30 Days.
Deleting your account removes your profile and resume from our systems. It does not retract applications you have already submitted, or remove data an employer has already downloaded.
8. Your rights
You may:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate — most of it you can edit yourself from your dashboard.
- Delete your account and the data attached to it.
- Withdraw consent to our processing of your data.
- Complain to us, and — if we do not resolve your complaint — to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your session, and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. You cannot turn these off without breaking the site.

10. Security
We use HTTPS across the site, store passwords hashed (never in plain text), and restrict access to personal data to those who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Vero Jobs is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and — if the change is significant — notify you by email or through the site.
